This publication is a result of the Study Visit “After the Arab Spring: youth work reality“, held in Tunisia last year (26th June-1st July 2012) which provided the chance to work and reflect about youth work and policy after the Revolution. That activity has been co-organized by Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs of Republic of Tunisia, SALTO Euromed, the Tunisian Euromed Youth Unit and the RCBS (Regional Capacity Building and Support Unit for the EuroMed Youth Programme IV).
The publication provides:
• an overview about youth work in Tunisia;
• an educational and pedagogical background of youth work in Tunisia;
• challenges for youth workers after the revolution;
• some examples of youth projects.
It is the first issue of a collection in four languages (English, French, Arabic, and Hebrew) called «Youth Work in...» composed of five publications dedicated to youth work in the Mediterranean countries (Tunisia, Israel, Jordan, Palestinian Territories and Egypt) hosting actions in 2013.
This collection aims to support the cooperation within EuroMed area providing a depth reflection about the nowadays issues and challenges in youth work in the Euro Mediterranean context.
