What is the role of Arts Education in Africa and in Europe? Is it part of the arts system or the educational programme or something in between? Who are the stakeholders, where are the stages, what are the projects about? The Research Atelier brings together experts from the universities in Daressalam, Kampala, Nairobi, Pretoria, Johannesburg, Casablanca and Tunis to exchange concepts in Cultural Policy for Arts Education and continues the debates from other Research Ateliers on Zanzibar and in Cape Town, and will be based on the publication „Cultural Policy for Arts Education“ edited by Wolfgang Schneider, Yvette Hardie, Mzobz Mboya, Daniel Gad (will be published by Peter Lang in 2017).
