Education, Mobility, Employment: An Investment in Europe’s Youth
Eruopäisches Jugendforum , Brüssel, Belgien
Youth has long been a focus of the EU’s political agenda. As a consequence not only of the financial crisis, but also the recognition that young people can be drivers of the European project, youth has been a core demographic for the EU for many years. With the post-2020 Multiannual Financial Framework, youth has again been put to the forefront of the agenda, with the European Commission’s proposal declaring that the funding available for youth will be multiplied 2.2 times in this period.
To discuss the funding for youth within the post-2020 Multiannual Financial Framework and what it means for young people in Europe, on the 26th of November 2018 the European Youth Forum will hold a discussion on “Education, Mobility, Employment: An Investment in Europe’s Youth”.
This event will bring together stakeholders from all institutions, as well as young people themselves and civil society organisations. The conversation will focus on what an investment in Europe’s youth concretely means, whether the funding earmarked is enough, and how these funds can be best used to build Europe’s youth for the future.
This event takes place from 18:30 to 20:00. The discussions will be followed by a cocktail reception.
