EU Public Conference: Closing a protection gap for European children on the move!
European Economic and Social Committee Rue de Trèves 74 – Trèves Building, Conference room TRE 7701 – 7th floor, - Brüssel, Belgien
Terre des Hommes International Federation
European children moving within Europe are not properly protected! The conference will present the results and main findings of five transnational research projects carried out in Greece, Italy, Belgium, The Netherlands, Kosovo and The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and will highlight the difficulties faced by vulnerable European children on the move from Bulgaria, Romania, Albania and Kosovo in the access to protection systems.
Bringing together field experience and views of experts, professionals and policy makers, the conference will be an opportunity to share good practices and strategies for the development of a regional model for transnational protection for children on the move.
The conference is organized in the framework of Mario II project, a joint action led by Terre des Hommes and implemented in 16 countries in Central and South Eastern Europe by 19 child protection partner NGOs acting to protect European children on the move.
