European Responses To Violence Against Children
, - Liverpool, Großbritannien
University of Liverpool - European Children's Rights Unit
This is the 2nd seminar of a seminar series that will provide a unique platform for critical discussion and interdisciplinary exchange relating to the role of the European institutions – notably the European Union and the Council of Europe - in shaping children’s rights. It represents a timely response to a number of important legal, policy, monitoring and campaign initiatives introduced at this level that seek to tackle a range of children’s rights issues.
This seminar will consider the scope and impact of European-initiated measures to different aspects of violence against children, and the extent to which they reinforce efforts at international and national level. It will include some consideration of CoE campaigns such as the ‘Raise your hand against smacking’, as well as the content and implementation of the EU’s child protection legislation (such as the Victims’ Directive 2011/0129).
Please confirm the deadline for registration with the organisers.
