NECE Conference 2016: Crossing Borders. Migration and Citizenship Education in Europe
Lisinski Concert Hall 4 Stjepan Radić Square, HR-10000 Zagreb, Kroatien
Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung/bpb, Bundesministerium für Bildung und Frauen (Österreich), Pro Demos – House for Democracy and the Rule of Law (Niederlande)
This year's NECE conference takes aim at two areas. First, it will look at the ongoing European response to the issue of migration, including the repercussions and divisions within and between European societies. And second, the conference will discuss how citizenship education needs to react to the polarized debate and controversy surrounding migration, diversity and identity that has been triggered all over Europe by the continuous wave of migration since summer 2015.
Online registration will be opened by the end of June. Further preparations for this year's NECE conference include a call for projects for presentation in a project market, which will once again begin accepting applications starting in June. Please note that participants from certain countries in North Africa and Eastern Europe are eligible to apply for subsidies to help pay travel & accommodation costs.
The indicated deadline is just for orientation. Please confirm it with the organisers.
